Club recommendations

Postby chrismc » Tue Sep 20, 2016 12:53 pm

Whilst the forum is a fantastic resource for all of us dc2 owners I don't really view it as a 'club' as such.

Has anyone got any recommendations for a discerning club to join with a stock/very fresh dc2 & ~40yo owner. Trying to avoid anything 'fast & furious/mc Donald's meet' if you catch my drift

Having recently been to the Silverstone classic there was representation for the NSX, S2K etc but really nothing for what so many consider the best FWD ever....

I know what you mean, would be nice tonjoin something myself, having had my teg a short while now and using it every day, I've only ever seen 2 maybe 3 on the roads in my lifetime, it's a shame!

gotta agree with this, more of an information site than a club. A proper gathering at an event would be quite good even for us oldies

Trouble is I can't find anything suitable.

Maybe I'm fussy but there seems to be nothing about that caters as an owners club as such.

A crying shame seeing as there are 'proper' type clubs for the NSX & S2000.....

A generic type-r owners thing really isn't what I'm after tbh

Some of the pistonheads meets are pretty good but 99% of events where there is groups of "motoring enthusiasts" () there is usually a presence of the McDonald's brigade unfortunately.

Although if your in/near midlands area the breakfast club meets are pretty good
if in doubt flat out! colin mcRae

Could you/ not try getting a bit of a gathering from forum members Here? And maybe plan a meeting? I know I would deffo be up for seeing some dc2s. I'm just about to start rebuilding one and some good examples in the flesh would be helpful aswell as get know some people with similar interests, as most of my mates aren't car people...
