24hrs of Le Mans 2015

Does anyone plan on going to Le Mans next June? I went this year and it was epic. Tickets are bought but my dad doesn't want me to drive down as he doesn't trust the Teg! Rude. :gun:

Yes me and a few friends went. We'll be going down next year in my DC5 and also M3. It's all about going down in performance cars mate, it's part of the experience :)

Hoping to. Would be my first time.

What's the best way to go in regards to ferries/tunnel camp sites e.t.c?

It looks like tickets are sold through the official wesite http://www.24h-lemans.com/en/ ?
If in doubt...Flat out!...McRae

Yeah we went in a Golf R and Scooby this year. Was great fun but I was constantly wishing I'd driven! Half the experience is the drive :)

We drove to Dover, euro tunnel to Calais then basically followed the sat nav there. We took a few detours through some nice country roads it was epic! Then there's camping sites minutes from the track all regulated by them, you basically buy a plot and set up your stuff :)

I use tickets2u

The camp sites around the track are war zones

I've heard bad things about some of the sites but the one we stayed at this year was pretty tame

Any off circuit camp site recommendations, not looking for anything super fancy ideally within walking distance?

I'd go with one of the 'secure with security' campsites such as Speed Chills or White Rabbit. My mates did White Rabbit last year and said it was good.

I just can't do the main campsites again; every year there's been trouble of some description and the last time I went a guy throwing fireworks through tents with people sleeping in them turned into a 20 man brawl. No thanks....

We've stayed in Houx every year, aside from one stay in Houx Annexe. No fights or fireworks being thrown so far but it can be rowdy

I've booked with traveldestinations before but I am going to book it all separately this time around.

Will be my 10th year there next year. This year I went down in my teg fully stripped out with no carpets, aircon etc, just two buckets with harnesses. Its all about vtec in the french tunnels  .

I've stayed in Blue Nord campsite for the last 5 years and its been spot on, you hear of a few mishaps (people stealing from tents etc) but just use your common sense with regards to placing valuables and you'll be fine :)

I've only been once and my dad sorted it all, also sorted next years arrangements. He's already bought tickets/tunnel and campsite so looks like I won't be driving again :( as he's seen that all the campsites have sold out. Will be staying somewhere different if I drive :? Shame as I really wanted to take the Teg

I drove down in the Teg this year for the first time with a friend and a fully loaded boot.
The car was so low that the tires scrubbed the inside of the wheel well on the back, lol.

Looks cool Christoph, where did you camp?

I've just booked our trip again for 2016. Managed to get the cost for camping, tickets and crossing down from £250pp with the ferry to £158 with the chunnel, happy days! We're staying in Houx
