What to do about something I sold last year

Postby StuartE » Sun Mar 10, 2013 9:13 am

Way back in November I advertised 5 wheels for sale requiring a refurb.

I agreed a sale on the basis the buyer organised things and I'd get them ready for collection providing that would be after I got home from work Friday afternoon or any time Saturday.

The buyer did this and I was told they should be collected Friday 30th November late in the afternoon, so I got home from work and found a card saying they'd tried to collect at 13:06pm. I contacted the buyer and explained this, also including pictures of the card just to back my story up, I still have the card in question.

He got onto the company and things were rescheduled for Friday 7th December, I got home from work and stayed in the house all day but nobody turned up to collect the wheels.

After this he decided to try another company so we agreed that we'd pick a day when I'd broken up for Christmas and would be in the house all day, that was the last I heard from him despite sending messages by email and pm on here.

It's now well into March and I still have 5 wheels all boxed up sat here in the dining room, according to his profile the buyer was last on here Thursday 21st February 7:24am but I've not heard from him.

I can't put them up for sale again because they don't belong to me but I need them gone, so what can I do?

Yes he paid. I have thought of just sending the money back but is it that simple, he doesn't acknowledge any other contact I've made and although it seems unlikely I don't want any issues further down the line.
