|
|
Been advised by Lee its ok to post in here.
Been doing stainless systems for a while now, and it seems like theres an issue with getting a decent 2.5" uk spec exhaust system for the integra. Our exhausts are a much better quality than a cheap powerflow for example, I know because a couple of years ago mine fell off within a couple of weeks! Not to mention the quality of boxes is questionable!
I can offer a single silenced 2.5" bore custom stainless system and decat pipe for £260 on a single basis depending on what tailpipe you want. £300 for a twin silenced system. Looking into sports cat's at the moment.
We're based in Redhill, Surrey, and if theres 3 or more of you and someones willing to lend us their car for a day or 2, I can do a mail order group buy with a small discount.
Looked like this underneath...
This was a nice OE stainless replacement...
This was for a 190 with a C36 AMG lump, 3" bore...
I'll grab some more pictures of what we've done, most are at home.
Let me know what you think... |

hello mate,
What stainless steel do you make your systems from please?
And I would be after a 2.5" system with mandrel bends, with silencers in the same place as the original exhaust (one on b pipe, and the other being the back box), and what kind of tail pipes can you do? Slash cut for example?
How much for a rough guide for that please?
Just after some info, thank you for your time

Out of curiosity how do you mean mandrel bend at cost?
It's just using a different machine isn't it? |

The machine that does mandrel bends is really expensive. So most exhaust places buy mandrel bends and weld them to straight pipes like in pics 5&6 you can see lots of welds round the exhaust. This makes sure the exhaust is 2.5" or whatever you want all the way throught even at the bends whereas with a hydraulic pipe bender the bends are "crushed" and that makes them smaller than diameter to the straight bits of pipe. You can see this with the bends on first exhaust on the 190e merc. |

I know what it is, its a different machine and costs no more to use than a pinch bender if done properly though?
Just can't see why anyone buying a performance exhaust wouldn't want mandrel bends, seems a bit cheeky charging extra for it |

| they can bend the pipes themselves but dont have a mandrel pipe bender so have to buy in the mandrel bends. hence they cost more |

I would be interested in a 2.5" system for my UKDM.
How would single silencer compare to two as on the oem system? In terms of noise and performance?
There is also an offer on here for the DC sports manifolds which I would match to this system. Would this make a good match?
Seems a good value alternative package to some of the more pricey alternatives....
Any thoughts/suggestions welcome. |
